Year of establishment

• 2014. The original text of the official Accreditations page: "IGIBS has been a member of AIMS since we opened in 2014" The University Acceptances page also lists the first graduating class as 2016, which is consistent with the opening of the school in 2014.

Curriculum system

• IB continuity throughout the school year: Early Years–G5 IB PYP / G6–10 IB MYP / G11–12 IB DP and IB CP. The only IB World School in Malaysia that offers four IB programs (PYP/MYP/DP/CP).

Certification / Membership

• IB World School: All four projects are authorized, with a five-year evaluation cycle
• CIS (Council of International Schools): Obtained certification in May 2018, with a five-year cycle NEASC (New England Association of Schools and Colleges): It is one of the few schools in Malaysia to be certified by NEASC. It conducts self-evaluation every five years.
• AIMS: Member since the school opened in 2014 EARCOS (East Asia Regional Council of Schools): became a member school in 2018
